Learning is an active process in which students weave a web of knowledge from concepts, procedures, rules, skills and competences that is constantly expanded, refined and strengthened.
Students are motivated by meaningful and attractive contexts. These are provided by appropriate didactic environments in which they can deal with complex problems autonomously, in an atmosphere free of fear.
Different approaches have to be introduced. Trial and error, detours and false steps are necessary to create individual acquisition and group communication.
MUED is designing, testing and reviewing didactic environments. The focal point is the application of mathematics. Apart from offering meaningful didactic environments, it contributes to a liberal education. |
